Halloween to preschoolers mean ghosts witches goblins pumpkins and of course dont forget the candy! Many preschoolers are fond of Halloween because they get to make crafts. It is easy to make crafts preschool children like by making simple fun spooky things.

One way to get the Halloween spirit flowing for the preschoolers involves allowing them to create crafts and decorate the classroom. They will proudly show off their creations each time. An easy craft includes using a large piece or several pieces of white paper that can be placed on the walls after the kids draw out their Halloween characters.

Begin by placing several sections of white paper on a flat surface or the floor. Under the white paper place pieces of plastic to keep the paint from bleeding through and for help reduce the spills of the paint.

With washable paint in the colors of Halloween have the preschoolers select different shape of pumpkins ghosts cats witches and other characters. Outline the shapes on the white paper.

Give each child a paintbrush with one color of paint. Space out the children and allow them to paint the outlines. Have the children add eyes to the characters with eyes in a color that glows after the first color is dried. Allow the paint to dry and hang the artwork on the walls.

Make masks for each child. Let them decide if they want to have cat eyes clowns face or any other silly character. Cut out strips of colored paper about 6-8 inches long and about 2 inches wide. Cut out eyeholes.

Give the children washable paint and let them to paint the mask strips. Allow the strips to dry and staple elastic stings to each side so the children will have a facemask for the Halloween party if they want to wear them.

Make hanging ghosts for the classroom decoration. Get several strips of white thin fabric. Cut to the size of 12 x 12 inches. With cotton balls form the head of the ghost. Secure the cotton balls inside the fabric by tying a string around the fabric. Add wiggly eyes and mouths with wire ties glued on the face in the shape the child selects.
