Sunday school teachers use bible crafts to teach children about the Bible. The crafts reinforce the stories in a fun manner that children can relate to easier.

Some teachers will have the children doing the crafts while they read the stories so the children can make an association to the story better.

Here are some Bible crafts to help the child learn more about the Bible and have fun in the process.

Joseph and the Coat of Many colors.

Materials:

Different colors of construction paper the brighter the better. Cut the pieces of paper in different lengths and widths.

Glue

Cutouts shaped like a long Biblical coat

White construction paper

Instructions:

Allow each child to select different colors of paper.

Give each child some glue and a cutout coat

Give each child a piece of white construction paper

As the teacher is telling the story about Joseph allow the children to make the “coat of many colors”.

Noahs Ark

Materials:

Cutouts of different animals found on the ark. Allow for 2 for each child.

Cutouts of Noah and his family

Glue

Crayons for the water and sky colors

White construction paper

Instructions:

Allow children to select their animals

Give each child one ark one piece of white paper and one cutout of Noah family.

Lay out the crayons to color the sky and water

As the teacher is telling the story of Noah and the flood allow the children to add the animals to the ark color the sky and the waters.

Canvass Cross

Materials:

Plastic canvass for making crafts with large holes cut in the shape of a cross

Strips of yarn

Darning yarn craft needle

Instructions:

Provide each child with one piece of canvass several strips of yarn and darning needle.

Show the children how to weave the yarn in the holes of canvass in a cross-stitch or weaving pattern.
