Easter Baskets Crafts for Kids
Every Easter celebration is well known for their Easter baskets crafts for kids as gifts. Easter is not always about painted eggs, chocolates and bunnies.
You could also include toys and other things that catch your kids’ interests. Observe their rooms and see their own artworks and other favorite pieces. Prepare a surprise of some new toys or materials that you’re kids would surely appreciate.
The first thing that you’ll need in making Easter baskets crafts for kids is a basket plain and big enough. Find old baskets from past gifts and holidays.
Visit a thrift shop near you if you can’t find one at your own home. Gather all art materials that you’ll need in making the Easter basket. After gathering all the materials, call the kids to the work place and inform them about the activity.
Materials:
Basket
Art Materials (art papers, paints, glitters, etc)
Glue
Scissors
3-5 hardboiled eggs
Procedures:
Step 1: Place newspapers or rags on the work surface to avoid glue and paints from getting on the table or floor.
Step 2: Start with painting the hardboiled eggs with different patterns. Guide the kids on painting the eggs. Let their own imagination be applied through their own designs. After painting, place the eggs on a separate surface to dry.
Step 3: If paper shreds are available, grass effects would be easier to make for the base. If not, cut art papers into strips then set them aside for awhile.
Step 4: Ask the kids to start drawing different patterns and symbols related to Easter. Guide them with cutting and gluing the cutouts onto the basket. It’s also the kid’s options to tie or wrap ribbons on the handle of the basket.
Step 5: Place the paper shreds into the base of the basket for the grass effect. While the kids are not looking, place your gifts inside with the chocolates and Easter eggs. You may or may not wrap the basket with plastic cover.
After having lunch or dinner, prepare the baskets and present them to the kids. They will surely be happy with the outcome and the surprise included. Making Easter baskets craft for kids should always be fun and exciting.
