Christian Christmas Crafts

The Christian faith is full of imagery that could be used in making your own Christmas crafts. The most popular image in Christian Christmas crafts is the nativity scene.
Then there are the images of the baby Jesus, angels, the white dove as the symbol of the Holy Spirit; even the star that is traditionally placed atop the Christmas tree has Christian connotations.
It is supposedly a symbol for the star of Bethlehem which guided the three kings to the stable where the baby Jesus was born.
Nowadays, it is a common tradition to decorate a Christmas tree and put the star at the very top of the tree.
A good starting project for the making of christian Christmas crafts is a handmade Christmas card with your pick of one of these enduring symbols of the holiday season.
An angel is an easy figure to follow. An image or a silhouette can even be traced or downloaded from the internet and printed out for the project.
Throughout the story of the birth of Jesus, angels have played a major role. An angel spoke to the Virgin Mary. An angel warned the Holy Family of impending danger.
An angel spoke to the shepherds on the night of Jesus’ birth. All these are closely connected to a Christian Christmas. To make an angel card, here are the materials:
Card stock or any thick paper
Scissors
Ruler
Pen
Glue
Glitter and various other art supplies
Step#1
Look for angel images from various sources. Cut out, print out, trace, or copy your image of choice. Make it as simple as possible.
Step#2
Take your card stock. Cut to size. Fold in half. Open.
Step#3
Figure out where the front of your card will be. Lay out your angel image on the paper. Set it permanently to the card in the way that you think is best. This means choosing between tracing, copying, or pasting.
Step#4
Design and color your angel with whatever materials you have gathered for the christian Christmas crafts project.
Step#5
Write a personal note to the recipient in the inside of the card.
Step#6
Put the card in an envelope and send.
